Club to Club Festival in Turin have announced that their first 2018 headliner is Aphex Twin.
Richard D James will play the festival which this year is framed around the theme of ‘La luce al buio’ which translates as ‘light over darkness’.
That theme was inspired by former Crack cover star Nicolas Jaar’s lead track from his closing set at last year’s festival, an edit of Franco Battiato’s L’ombra della luce.
It’s one of the first events Aphex Twin has announced since last summer, which saw him re-emerge for a string of high profile festival dates. The hugely anticipated sets proved to audiences this his finger is still very much on the pulse – weaving experimental works from contemporary producers into his sets.
