Atlanta: Season 1 is coming to the UK

The first season of Donald Glover’s award-winning drama, Atlanta, will air on BBC Two, from 13 May.

The broadcasting company has purchased the rights to the first 10 episodes of Season 1, two years after it first aired in the US in September 2016.

Directed by, and featuring, Donald Glover, the comedy drama follows the story of Earnest ‘Earn’ Marks – played by Glover – trying to become his cousin’s manager. Alfred ‘Paper Boi’ Miles, an aspiring rapper on the rise, is acted out by Brian Tyree Henry.

The show’s second instalment, entitled Robbin’ Season, is out now in the States, and first premiered on 1 March. Check out BBC Two’s announcement below.
