Lauryn Hill to play Helsinki’s Flow Festival

Lauryn Hill

The Finnish festival has added Ms Lauryn Hill to the 2018 line-up.

Last week, the rapper announced that she’ll be celebrating 20 years of her seminal album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill with an extensive world tour, including shows scheduled for London’s O2 Arena, Manchester, Glasgow, Dublin and Birmingham. Now, it’s been revealed that she’ll be stopping off at Finland too, with a show booked for Flow Festival, which will be held at Helsinki’s Suvilahti on 10-12 August.

The album was released on 25 August 1998 and won Hill numerous Grammys including Album of the Year. Recently, Drake sampled one of the album’s most famous tracks on his hit single Nice For What. Watch a breakdown of the sample here in our #SoundsFamiliar series.

Hill joins the festival’s previously announced acts, which include Kendrick Lamar, former Crack Magazine cover stars Helena Hauff and Fever Ray, Patti Smith and Yaeji.
