Electronic music pioneer Suzanne Ciani to perform in Berlin this July

Electronic music pioneer Suzanne Ciani is coming to Berlin for a special Buchla performance next month.

The intimate show will be the climax to a day of music held at Silent Green Kulturquartier, a former crematorium, on 21 July.

Ciani is set to perform in venue’s concert hall, with support provided by Dutch producer Oceanic. Outside in the garden, Red Light Radar will present sets from Lux, JM Moser, Alison Swing and The Mole – all of which will be live streamed throughout the day.

According to The Guardian, Suzanne Ciani is one of electronic music’s earliest but lesser known pioneers, dubbed variously as the “diva of the diode” and “‘America’s first female synth hero”. Her concept album Help, Help, The Globolinks! was re-released via Finders Keepers last year.
