Dekmantel releases new Lena Willikens documentary

Dekmantel has dropped the first video of their 2018 Selectors documentary series with Grolsch, featuring Lena Willikens.

During the nine-minute visual, directed by Anna Bogomolova, the German producer discusses the turning points of her artistic trajectory, from her time as an art student to later turning to music and playing at Düsseldorf’s Salon Des Amateurs.

“It’s like a dream where you process the things you’ve experienced – that’s what I feel in the best moments when I play,” she says.

In February, it was announced that Dekmantel had tapped Willikens for their fifth Selectors compilation. The release landed in April and was formed from her conceptual idea of taking listeners on a “little trip through the dunes”. The tracklist featured unreleased material, including a track from Berlin-based sound artist JASSS, called Little Lines.
