The Russian protest and art collective – made up of anonymous members with Nadya Tolokonnikova and Nikita Chaika at its core – have announced two new tracks in an interview with Crack Magazine.

Entitled КОШМАРЫ / NIGHTMARES and PONG!, the songs will be self-released by the collective on 18 July. The former track is Pussy Riot’s take on the Russian prison chanson. Described as a “creepy and nightmarish tale” about incarceration, it’ll feature Chaika’s vocals on a Pussy Riot track for the first time. The songs, as revealed in the article, are set to be pummelling, strobe-y hardcore club and gabber tracks, and will come paired with animations by Moscow artist 9cyka.

Tolokonnikova explains in the interview that the punk collective use the genre’s gutsy, visceral nature to talk about the things that matter to them: “elections, power struggle, resistance, solidarity”.
