A new Aphex Twin teaser has appeared online.
Warp Records has posted an image of a press release online with the words distorted by the producer’s logo. What can be taken from it, however, is several mentions of an EP called Collapse. At the bottom, the post appears to reveal a partial tracklist which includes a bonus track called Pthex.
This week, Aphex logos have mysteriously cropped up at London’s Elephant and Castle tube station, in Turin and on the side of Hollywood’s Amoeba Music store. Considering his last full-length, 2014’s Syro, was announced via blimps over London and stencils around both the UK capital and New York, speculation has begun over the possibility of a new Aphex Twin release.
Turin is also a fitting area for the producer to roll out a teaser, as the Italian city is home to Club to Club festival, where he’s due to headline this year in November. Aphex will also headline Bilbao festival BIME Live.
The producer’s last EP was 2016’s Cheetah. Check out Warp’s post below, and a fan’s version of the press release.

Update: As noted by Stereogum, a five-minute show called Aphex Twin: Collapse has been added to Adult Swim’s schedule for Tuesday morning (7 August) at 6.30am (BST), leading to speculation that the EP may be previewed online.
