The BBC World Service will broadcast a documentary about Charli XCX

A BBC radio documentary about Charli XCX will air on 11 September.

Presenter Kate Mossman joins Charli in the studio and behind the scenes at some performances in London. According to a press release, the documentary “explores Charli XCX’s duality as both a songwriter and a performer with exclusive behind-the-scenes access. In this programme, we follow Charli into the studio to hear all about her creative process, travel with her to the famous Wembley stadium where she supports Taylor Swift on her Reputation Tour and hear exclusive new music as well as a rare headline show in London. We hear Charli discuss her favourite part of her studio process and what it means to her. She speaks honestly and articulately about how she combats loneliness on the road and what parts of her work are her least favourite.”

Charli’s most recent release, the mixtape Pop 2, dropped in December of 2017 and featured contributions from A.G. Cook, former Crack cover star SOPHIE, Mykki Blanco, Carly Rae Jepsen and more.

In The Studio: Charli XCX airs on the BBC World Service on Tuesday 11 September, 11.30am-12.00pm BST
