David Lynch and Angelo Badalamenti to release collaborative 90s album

A previously unreleased album by David Lynch and Angelo Badalamenti will finally be seeing the light of day.

Between 1992-1993, the pair worked on a jazz project together called Thought Gang. Two tracks – entitled A Real Indication and The Black Dog Runs at Night – were featured in Lynch’s 1992 film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me. However, it’s only now that the pair have announced the release of their collaborative album from the 90s. The self-titled LP, Thought Gang, will land on Sacred Bones on 2 November. The label has shared the track Woodcutters from Fiery Ships, which can be streamed now via the player above.

Lynch and Badalamenti are long-time collaborators who’ve worked together on the Twin Peaks saga, Blue Velvet, The Straight Story and Mulholland Drive.

Check out the artwork and tracklist for Thought Gang below. You can pre-order the LP via Sacred Bones.
