IDLES perform pro-immigration anthem Danny Nedelko on Later… with Jools Holland

The Bristol band made their debut on Later… with Jools Holland last night (25 September).

IDLES performed Danny Nedelko from their latest album, Joy as an Act of Resistance, on the show. As the second single from the new LP, Danny Nedelko is a pro-immigration anthem based on the frontman of post-punk outfit Heavy Lungs. The two Bristol-based bands are set to embark on a sold out UK tour in October, with Heavy Lungs supporting IDLES.

Elsewhere on the show, Soft Cell performed Say Hello, Wave Goodbye ahead of their last ever concert this week, and Hak Baker also made his debut with Conundrum.

Recently, IDLES frontman Joe Talbot penned a love letter to the NHS, writing, “The NHS is the FIFTH largest employer in the world (!). Even more impressive is the compassion from the employees that built and sustained that gigantic vessel.”
