Nick Cave is reportedly in LA “making a new record”.

Cave’s wife, Suzie Bick, has confirmed that the Bad Seeds singer is in the studio working on a new LP. On her website, called The Vampires’ Wife, she described her autumn flu and said Cave currently isn’t with her. She wrote, “He is in LA making a new record. Some of his songs reveal themselves at night in his fever dreams. They are his Fever Songs. What lovely jobs we have.”

Last year, it was rumoured that Cave was collaborating with Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age on a new LP. However, Cave’s press representative later confirmed that there was no collaboration.

Cave’s last full-length was 2016’s Skeleton Tree, which topped Crack Magazine’s list of the best albums of 2016. In June, he announced he would be releasing a live EP of recordings from a Copenhagen show. Entitled Distant Sky – Live From Copenhagen, it’s slated for release on 29 September.
