Applications are now open for the second semester of Amplify Berlin.
Amplify Berlin is calling for applications for its second semester, occuring between March to July in 2019. Applications are open until 16 December. The residency programme aims to support emerging Berlin-based musicians through mentorships. The mentors for this semester so far include Born in Flamez, Ville Haimala of Amnesia Scanner, and Andi Toma from Mouse on Mars.
Each one-month residency will see mentees develop a live set, work in a private studio with various equipment, and receive feedback from mentors. At the end of the semester, each participant will present their live set on a line-up with their mentor at Acud Macht NEU.
Amplify is presented by Acud Macht NEU and is co-financed by the Europäischer Fonds für regionale Entwicklung (EFRE) and Musicboard Berlin. Its first semester included mentorships from Laurel Halo and Lucrecia Dalt; both artists will play the showcases with their mentees in October and December respectively.
