Online petition launched to change conkers law in the UK following Bros documentary

An online petition has been launched on change.org calling for the UK government to reconsider it’s current policy on conkers.

The petition comes off the back of Bros: After The Screaming Stops, a new documentary chronicling the rise and resurrection of 90s British boyband Bros (brothers Matt and Luke Goss).

The documentary has got a lot of people talking since its release thanks to a Spinal Tap-esque comedy value and a series of bizarre moments and one-liners.

One of the standout moments comes when the Matt, who is reminiscing about the brothers’ childhood, lands upon the topic of conkers. “Please can we start a petition as Bros for this ridiculous thing where you can’t even play conkers,” he says to the camera, “You have to wear goggles. That is the biggest problem… You can’t play conkers in England.”

To which his brother replies, “I can live with that.”
