The London-based artist and DJ is branching out.
Carla dal Forno has launched her own record label, called Kallista Records. The inaugural release comes from dal Forno herself, in the shape of a two-track 7″ record, featuring the A-side single So Much Better. The single is foray into narrative songwriting that demonstrates a newfound vulnerability. Fever Walk, the record’s B-side, is described as a return to her “raw, dubbed out vision”.
The move follows a run of releases for Blackest Ever Black, including her 2016 debut full-length You Know What It’s Like and The Garden EP. According to press materials, the label will be home to original work by the artist with no word as to whether dal Forno will release other people’s music.
