Jim Jarmusch has announced an all-star cast and confirmed the release date for his upcoming film The Dead Don’t Die.
Iggy Pop, Tom Waits, RZA and Selena Gomez are amongst the artists confirmed for the cast. Those also announced include Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Chloë Sevigny, Tilda Swinton, Steve Buscemi, Sturgill Simpson, Danny Glover, Caleb Landry Jones, Rosie Perez, Sara Driver, Caleb Landry Jones and Carol Kane.
Jarmusch has worked with several members of the cast before, with Iggy Pop having previously made an appearance in Dead Man, and Tom Waits in Down by Law. Both artists have appeared in the 2003 film Coffee and Cigarettes. Jarmusch’s 1999 crime drama Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai features a score by RZA.
The Dead Don’t Die will be released on 14 June. It’ll follow up from Jarmusch’s 2016 documentary Gimme Danger. Though the plot is currently not known, Bill Murray told The Inquirer last week that Jarmusch “has written a zombie script that’s so hilarious”.
