Keith Flint honoured in new Southend mural

The Prodigy frontman passed away two weeks ago.

A new mural in Southend, Essex, pays tribute to Keith Flint, two weeks after his death. The piece was commissioned by the town’s Business Improvement District manager and painted by Southend artist John Bulley. Titled Twisted Animator – a lyric from the Prodigy hit Firestarter – the mural is located beneath a railway bridge in the town’s high street.

“I thought it might be a nice tribute to a brilliant Essex frontman and I, like many people of my generation who experienced the rave scene of the late 80s and 90s, loved The Prodigy!” Dewey said.

She adds, “John’s painting is a wonderful way to remember Keith.”

Flint was found dead in his home in Dunmow, Essex, on 4 March. He was aged 49. Bandmate Liam Howlett later confirmed his cause of death as suicide.
