Solange has released her new album, When I Get Home, the anticipated follow-up to 2016’s A Seat at the Table. The album features contributions from Earl Sweatshirt, Dev Hynes, Tyler, the Creator, Panda Bear, Playboi Carti, Gucci Mane and more.
The release was preceded by a short campaign, including series of social media posts teasing the album and a takeover of website BlackPlanet earlier this week. Solange also shared the phone number of a hotline, 281-330-8004 – a number which once belonged to Houston rapper Mike Jones.
Following the album’s drop, the singer tweeted: “I’m filled with so much joy right now!!! Wow! I can’t thank y’all enough for this moment and for all the feelings I feel in my body! I’m bringing home w me everywhere I go y’alll and I ain’t running from s**t no more. Your love lifts me up so high. Thank you!”
