Jay-Z will perform the show “B-Sides 2” at the newly renovated Webster Hall in Manhattan, this month.

The Brooklyn rapper is set to re-open the New York venue on 26 April with a show titled “B-Sides 2”. The upcoming set will follow on from his original “B Sides” gig at Terminal 5 in 2015, where he performed lesser-known tracks from his back catalogue such as Young, Gifted and Black, Politics as Usual and Never Change.

BSE Global CEO Brett Earmark, who oversees Webster Hall, said they wanted a world-famous New York City artist to re-open the venue, adding, “No one fits that description better than Jay-Z.”

Jay Marciano, Chairman and CEO, AEG Presents said, “In renovating one of New York’s most historic and iconic venues, our goals were simple and straightforward; maintain the integrity of the space, modernise it to create an incredible concert experience for fans and performers, and book a dynamic mix of artists in music today.”

The extensive changes to the 133-year-old venue were made in order to “preserve the iconic features of the venue, while modernising it to meet today’s entertainment and guest experiences standards.”

General tickets for the gig will be available to buy at Ticketmaster on 19 April from 3pm (GMT), or 11am (ET). Visit the Webster Hall website for information on upcoming events.
