The lifestyle brand are on a mission to grow Nigeria’s skate culture and scene.
Nigeria’s first skate shop and crew, Waffles N Cream, are campaigning for a concrete park to be built in Lagos. The aim of the campaign is to raise £35,000, and to subsequently put pressure on the Lagos state to build a public park with expert skate builders. Should the goal be exceeded, the collective plan on using the excess funds to set up decks in the park.
The construction would mark the first of its kind in west Africa. First conceived in 2012, this month the collective celebrated their seventh anniversary. For the past four years, Waffles N Cream have been promoting the skate scene in the region.
