FKA twigs has dropped her comeback single Cellophane, her first solo single in three years.
The artist, real name Tahliah Barnett, announced a new song was imminent on Tuesday (23 April) via a post on Twitter. Alongside track and launch date details, the singer and producer included a short message on renewal. “Throughout my life I’ve practiced my way to being the best I could be,” Barnett wrote. “It didn’t work this time. I had to tear down every process I’d ever relied on. Go deeper. Rebuild. Start again.”

Cellophane is the first taster of music from her forthcoming album, the follow-up to her 2014 debut LP1. As promised, it dropped on Wednesday (24 April) and is teamed with an opulent new visual directed by Andrew Thomas Huang. Watch it above.
