The Haxan Cloak, aka British producer Bobby Krlic, will release the score to Hereditary director Ari Aster’s new film Midsommar next month.
The producer, known for his work with Björk as well as his solo efforts, scored the entirety of Aster’s latest film as well as composing the music featured within the narrative of the film. Aster reached out to Krlic having written the script to Midsommar while listening exclusively to his music.
“Trying to live up to the expectations of a director who wrote the script to my music was an intimidating task,” Krlic said in a statement “but in the end, I believe it’s been the most rewarding and deeply educational experience I’ve ever had. Not only was working with Ari Aster an honour, but the work was a true collaboration.”
Midsommar and Krlic’s score will both be released on 5 July. Check the trailer below.
