Riffs for Reproductive Justice is raising money for Abortion Access

Riffs for Reproductive Justice

Metal and hardcore compilation Riffs for Reproductive Justice is raising money for National Network of Abortion Funds and the Yellowhammer Fund.

Riffs for Reproductive Justice is a new metal, hardcore, punk, and dark folk complication record put together to support access to abortion in the USA. In response to the recent changes to abortion law in several U.S states and the increased closure of many abortion clinics, the album will donate 100% of proceeds to the National Network of Abortion Funds and the Yellowhammer Fund.

The compilation was released yesterday (2 July) and features Hether Fortune, Emma Ruth Rundle, Thou, Ithaca, Woe, Redbait, and more.

According to the album description on Bandcamp:  “This compilation is just one small effort made by a few dozen people who care, who are intimately affected by this, and who love other people who are afraid of what the future will bring,” reads the album’s mission statement. “There are so many other brave individuals and groups who have been putting in work around this issue for decades, and my hope here is to raise a significant amount of funds from within the metal, punk, and overall music fan communities to allow them to continue that necessary work.”
