Floating Points announces new album Crush, shares new single

Today, Floating Points has announced that his first album in four years, entitled Crush, is set for release on 18 October.

Following July’s teasers LesAlpx and Coorabel, the electronic musician has announced that Crush will drop next month, with the 12-track project being released under the Ninja Tune label.

Unlike the producer’s 2015 breakthrough record Elaenia, which was five years in the making, Crush was created in an intensive five-week process. Inspiration for this instantaneous process came from the artist’s stint playing improvised sets while supporting The XX in 2017.

Alongside this announcement, the artist has shared a fresh track, Last Bloom, with an accompanying video, as well as a trio of late-autumn tour dates in Paris, London and Berlin. Watch the video in the player above.
