Frank Ocean has penned the forward for a new book on the Oscar-winning film Moonlight. Set to be released on 30 September as part of a series released by the film’s production company A24, the book will also include the film’s screenplay, an essay by American writer Hilton Als, stills from the film and the acceptance speeches from the historic Academy award triumph in 2017. Moonlight won eight Oscars, including Best Picture.

Frank Ocean’s forward is not be his only contribution to Moonlight. Barry Jenkins tweeted back in 2016 that he had written the script for the film while listening to a remix of Ocean’s Channel Orange, called Channel Purple: Slim K Slowdown Remix. A24’s book series will also include editions on The Witch and Ex Machina.
