Earl Sweatshirt has announced the release of a new seven-track project entitled Feet of Clay.

The largely self-produced release features collaborations with MAVI and Mach Hommy, whilst The Alchemist is listed as the producer for one of the tracks. Feet of Clay will be distributed via Warner Records in partnership with Earl’s own label Tan Cressida and a pop-up release event is to take place in Los Angeles tonight.

Rolling Stone reports that Earl describes the Feet of Clay as a “collection of observations and feelings recorded during the death throes of a crumbling empire.”

It follows the rappers 2018 album Some Rap Songs, which was released almost a year ago in November on his previous label Columbia Records. During an interview with Pitchfork, he said that leaving the label would allow him more artistic freedom, stating: “I’m excited to be free because then I can do riskier shit.” Check out the album’s artwork and tracklist below.
