Frank Ocean has announced the third edition of his New York party PrEP+.
Former Crack Magazine cover star Arca, who performed at last week’s PrEP+ party, will host the Halloween edition of the party tonight (31 October). Joey Labeija, Vegyn, Last Japan and DJ Heather complete the line-up. Tonight’s edition will be held at at 52-19 Flushing Avenue in Maspeth and doors will open at 10pm (EDT).
Ocean announced the party via his Instagram story, which redirects followers to the blonded website to RSVP.
The Blonded club series pays homage to the 1980s New York clubbing scene, working under a title inspired by the HIV/AIDS prevention drug pre-exposure prophylaxis. The first PrEP+ night took place in an undisclosed location on 17 October.
In a recent interview with W Magazine, Ocean revealed that he’s been listening to house and techno whilst working on new music. “I’ve been interested in club, and the many different iterations of nightlife for music and songs,” he said. “And so the things I look at now have a lot to do with those scenes: Detroit, Chicago, techno, house, French electronic.”
