Nicolas Jaar and Vincent de Belleval will debut their new work at ADE from 17 October.
As part of his ongoing residency at recently-opened arts space Het HEM, Nicolas Jaar will debut a new installation at ADE later this month. Titled Retaining the Energy, but Losing the Image, the work was created with visual artist Vincent de Belleval and is made up of 10 rotating parabolas that “capture and emit sound and light.”
According to a press release, “The title alludes to light and sound diffusion, signifying how the energy of the sound and light is kept in its reflections but not in its source.” The installation will be open for two hours per evening from 17 – 19 October.
