The Design Museum has announced its exhibition programme for 2020.

The world-leading contemporary museum has unveiled its 2020 programme, confirming that a new exhibition, titled Electronic, will run from 1 April to 26 July. Based on international club culture, Electronic will delve into the history of dancefloors across Detroit, Paris, Chicago, Berlin and the UK. Electronic is set to be an immersive multi-sensory experience, and it’ll feature work by artists such as Jeff Mills and Ellen Allien, alongside pieces by photographers and designers. The art exhibition is by Musée de la Musique – Philharmonie de Paris.

Furthermore, the museum will trace Miuccia Prada’s story in the exhibition Prada. Front and Back, and explore sneakerhead culture in Sneakers Unboxed: Studio to Street (6 May to 6 September).

Deyan Sudjic, Director and Curator of Prada. Front and Back said in a statement: “We are delighted to announce our 2020 programme, with a series of provocative exhibitions that will allow us to make the impact of design visible: from examining the technology and innovation that drive the sneaker industry to the transformation of our musical world through electronics.”

The London-based arts space is one of the world’s leading museums devoted to contemporary architecture, culture and design. Further information can be found on The Design Museum’s website.
