FKA twigs has released the fourth track from her upcoming album MAGDALENE.
Titled sad day, the new single follows the recently released tracks home with you, holy terrain and cellophane.
Whilst an official video for the single is yet to be released, Pitchfork recently revealed that it’s in the works. Directed by Hiro Murai, the rehearsal saw “twigs and Teake play a couple whose emotional conflict is represented by a spectacular wushu duel. A large portion of the action takes place in a set styled like the apartment of a thrift-store-obsessed art student, with junky furniture, dusty tchotchkes, and a ceramic phrenology head on a bookshelf.” Another scene saw twigs on a “rooftop in the rain, filming a climactic sword fight.”
