Joy Orbison and Overmono announce new 12″ as Joy Overmono

Joy Overmono

Joy Orbison and Overmono (brothers Tom and Ed Russell aka Tessela and Truss) have collaborated on a new 12” for XL Recordings entitled Bromley / Still Moving.

Released under the moniker Joy Overmono, the lead track Bromley was made in homage to the London borough where the Russell brothers have their studio.

Joy Orbison took to Instagram this morning (November 14) to announce the news, stating that Bromley / Still Moving is “an ode to the boys beautiful studio and to a town that is inexplicably still home to a functioning Spudulike.”

This is the first time the artists have worked together, however, both Joy Orbison and Overmono have shared music separately this year. Overmono released an EP, Poly011, last month on their Poly Kicks label, while Joy Orbison contributed to the Poly Kicks 50 Locked Grooves series in April and released new EP Slipping last month.

Bromley is available for streaming now and Bromley / Still Moving will be released via XL on 22 November.
