The 12-hour rave will take place across four warehouse stages.
Rosa Pistola, SHYBOI, Deli Girls, Renata, Total Freedom and more will play Melting Point’s fundraiser on New Year’s Eve. Taking place in New York at a secret warehouse location in Brooklyn, the party will raise funds for Al Ort Lado (AOL), a nonprofit which provides legal services for migrants at the US-Mexico border, as well as a grassroots organisation in Santiago, Chile working to improve protester’s safety.
Melting Point is a collective of artists who use dance music, underground club culture and art to raise funds for charitable causes and “create a space and community for humane ideas and connections to be fostered through art”. So far they have raised over $20,000 for AOL. A statement on the collective Instagram announcing the line-up for party reads: “Melting Point NYC is bringing in 2020 with a multi-stage warehouse rave. For 12 hours, the former industrial complex will be transformed into a fortress of sonic resistance and unity. The rave collective and immigration fundraiser has booked four stages of artists who will be leading the new decade into uncharted territory with some of the hardest sounds from across the globe.”
