M.I.A. is teasing something

The Sri Lankan artist is teasing something that’s arriving this month.

The former Crack Magazine cover star has revealed that “new M.I.A.” [sic] is landing on 31 January. Though details are yet to be revealed, the rapper has stated that it’ll focus on “planets and platforms”. Check out the announcement below.

Earlier this month, M.I.A. received an MBE Award for her services to music. It was presented by Prince William, and the medal was hand stitched by her mother, Kala Pragasam, who has spent the last 33 years making the medals.

The Stephen Loveridge-directed documentary Matangi / Maya / M.I.A was released in September 2018. M.I.A.’s last full-length was 2016’s AIM, which features the singles Borders and Bird Song.
