Octo Octa has released a free 30-page guide to building a home studio. How To Set Up A Home Studio aka A Journey of Mistakes sees the DJ and producer breakdown her home set-up and explain commonly used studio terms. Organised in three parts, the guide runs through how to build a hardware-focused studio without the need for a computer and how to build a studio that uses both a computer and hardware, before offering Octo Octa and her partner and fellow DJ/ producer Eris Drew‘s respective set-ups as real-life examples.

Writing in the guide’s introduction, Octa explains the guide was inspired by her route into production as a teenager and is meant as an accessible document for people looking to build a “usable set-up for playing versus having a bunch of random gear.”

How To Set Up A Home Studio is available as both a PDF and Google Doc from the T4T LUV NRG website.
