The South London rapper took home his first BRIT Award.
Dave has won the BRIT award for Album of the Year for 2019’s Psychodrama. Taking home the award after a firebrand performance that saw him brand Prime Minister Boris Johnson a “real racist”, Dave paid tribute to his home neighbourhood Streatham in his acceptance speech, encouraging young people in the South London district to take inspiration from his success.
Elsewhere at the awards, Stormzy won Best Solo Male and Burna Boy took to the stage for a performance of Anybody.
