The three DJs and producers head to the Jazz Cafe on 1 May.
Hyperdub boss Kode9 has announced a memorial party for late Chicago legend DJ Rashad. Taking place on 1 May at London’s Jazz Cafe, fellow Chicago footwork pioneer DJ Spinn and 160 BPM breakthrough talent Sherelle will join Kode9 to pay their respects. DJ Rashad, the founder of Teklife and a key figure in the history of modern electronic music, passed away in 2014.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Rashad Estate, which is managed by DJ Spinn and supports Rashad’s son.
