Promoters come together for new campaign to save Manchester nightlife

Manchester and Salford Save Our Scene

The new collective aims to support venues and nightlife workers in Greater Manchester.

Promoters from across Greater Manchester have come together to launch a new campaign, Manchester and Salford Save Our Scene. Last week the newly formed collective launched its first initiative to raise funds for workers who aren’t eligible for immediate government funding as they may be freelance, employed on a zero-hour basis, or don’t meet other criteria, a raffle on Crowdfunder.

Tickets to the raffle cost £5 with prizes ranging from a mystery Pick ‘n’ Mix from Mr Scruff to guestlist and tickets to club nights and festivals in Manchester once public gatherings are able to take place again. The likes of Park Life, Homoelectric, Albert Hall, Soup Kitchen and many others have promised rewards to winners in the raffle. Applications to receive funds from the raffle open today (6 April) for two weeks.
