Martin Scorsese will debut a new film about his experiences in lockdown tonight (28 May) on BBC Two. The film, shot by Scorsese himself, will be broadcast as part of Lockdown Culture With Mary Beard and sees the director looking at his experiences of lockdown and self-isolation through the lens of classic cinema.

Speaking about the project Scorsese said: “What I look forward to in the future is carrying with me what I have been forced to learn in these circumstances. It is the essential. The people you love. Being able to take care of them and be with them as much as you can.”
