Thief of Sanity is out now.
Rotterdam duo Animistic Beliefs, aka Xakalele and rbf.linh, have shared new EP Thief of Sanity. The pair’s first release for Brokntoys, the four-track project is described as “an ode to the past, drawing inspiration from political techno group Underground Resistance, as well as ancestral pan-tribalist music.”
Animistic Beliefs are revered for their live sets. The duo have previously performed at De School, Griessmuehle and Rewire, and were enlisted for a “secret rave” in Zurich, curated by Gucci.
Animistic Beliefs are part of the SHAPE platform for innovative music and audiovisual art, supported by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.
