In July, Megan Thee Stallion was shot during an incident in LA. At the time, it was reported that the Houston rapper was in a car with Tory Lanez, who was arrested by police on gun charges. Last night on Instagram live, Megan Thee Stallion publically accused Lanez of shooting her.
“Yes… Tory shot me,” she said. “You shot me, and you got your publicist and your people to [talk to] these blogs, lying and shit. Stop lying!”
Going on to explain why she had not previously identified Lanez as the shooter, Megan said that police on the scene acted aggressively and she was scared of how they would react if she told them Lanez had a gun. “I didn’t tell the police nothing because I didn’t want us to get in no more trouble…”
“If you really want [me] to tell the motherfucking truth, I tried to save [Lanez],” she continued. “Even though he shot me, I tried to spare him.”
On Thursday, before Megan’s IG live, Billboard reported that the LA District Attorney’s office is considering whether to file assault charged against Lanez, pending further evidence from law enforcement.
