New Bristol venue Strange Brew to launch with virtual event tonight

A new venue in Bristol is launching its first event tonight (20 August).

Due to the pandemic, Strange Brew will host its first night as a virtual live stream via Noods Radio. The video stream will begin from 7pm (BST) and showcase the music venue for the first time.

Bristol-based DJs Batu and Danielle will play at the event, along with Shanti Celeste, Tara Clerkin Trio, DAMEFRISØR and Wojciech Rusin. Check out the announcement below.

Last year, Bristol party collective Dirtytalk launched a Crowdfunder to help build Strange Brew. “Ultimately we aim to create a music and arts venue that we believe is sorely needed in Bristol,” Dirtytalk said, “which will offer a fun and welcoming place for many groups and individuals to meet and connect, as well as being a platform for a diverse range of local and international artists, performers and subcultures.”

It was announced last week that music venues in England, excluding clubs, are allowed to reopen from 15 August.
