Stormzy reportedly working on children’s book series

The series is still in the early stages of development.

Stormzy is reportedly in talks to write a children’s book series with a focus on “equality, race and social injustices.” According to The Sun, the MC has been working with a ghostwriter and illustrator on the project.

An industry source told the paper: “Stormzy has a mass audience base, with a large demographic. Publishers feel his messaging on equality, race and social injustices would be good to translate into a series of children’s books. They have started conversations with his team, and ideas are still being bounced around.”

In 2018, Stormzy released his autobiography Rise Up: The #Merky Story So Far and founded #Merky Books with legacy publisher Penguin, an imprint for fiction, non-fiction and poetry. Earlier this year he pledged a minimum of £10 million to various Black British causes.
