Zola premiered at Sundance in January.
The first trailer for Zola has been released. Produced by A24, the film is based on a 2015 viral Twitter thread by Aziah ‘Zola’ King, which tells the story of King’s wild road trip with a sex worker named Jessica, her boyfriend and a pimp.
Staring Taylour Page in the title role and directed by Janicza Bravo, the film premiered at Sundance back in January to high praise from critics. Mica Levi composed the film’s score, following her work on Monos, Jackie and Under the Skin.
A release date has not yet been announced, with the trailer simply stating that the film is “coming soon.” Watch the trailer, which features moments of Levi’s score, below.
