St Paul’s Carnival are looking for a curator for Black History Month

St Paul’s Carnival are looking for a part-time curator role for Black History Month.

According to their website, the Bristol cultural institution are looking for someone “to create and deliver a bespoke digital programme, focused on Black History and the community in the aftermath of the Colston Statue, and what it means for the wider city as a whole.”

The opportunity follows the carnival’s recent Spirit Up! digital event which brought the festival to homes across the country. Carnival organisers write, “We are looking for an emerging and exciting talent to bring together the diverse experiences of the city, to engage with and empower both young and old.”

The news follows the announcement of SCRAPBOOK, a new black and white photography exhibition which will launch at St Paul’s Adventure Playground this weekend (4-6 September).
