The Bristol band are already working on the follow-up to Ultra Mono.
Last week, Ultra Mono became IDLES’ first UK number one release after it topped the albums chart. However, there’s been little time for celebration for the band. Speaking to BBC Radio 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq, Joe Talbot said the band didn’t celebrate but were “in the room writing album four”. The frontman clarified that they’ve “written one and a half songs, kind of”.
On what we can expect from the next LP, Talbot added, “This one’s the opposite to Ultra Mono but with the same ethos. There you go.”
