Four Tet shares his first ever drum‘n’bass remix

Four Tet, Love Saves The Day 2018

Four Tet made a drum’n’bass remix for the first time, and it’s of Krust’s track Negative Returns.

Crosstown Rebels is set to release two remix EPs of Krust’s 2020 album The Edge of Everything. The LP is the first full-length release from the drum‘n’bass pioneer in 14 years.

Four Tet has taken on Negative Returns, which is available on streaming platforms now. Kieran Hebden transposes the sub-heavy pressure of the original into a more ambient track. “This is the first D&B track I’ve ever made!” he said. “It felt good to do something out of my comfort zone.” Listen below.

Crack Magazine cover star Batu has reworked Space Oddity, and elsewhere on the tracklist there’s LCY, Flynn, Calibre and Damian Lazarus.

The first EP instalment will be released on 4 December, with a second drop to follow on 11 December. You can pre-order Krust – TEOE Remixes here. Check out the full tracklist below.
