FKA twigs to appear on Louis Theroux’s Grounded podcast

The podcast is back for its second series and has welcomed the likes of Michaela Coel and Sia previously.

FKA twigs is joining Louis Theroux on his BBC Radio 4 podcast Grounded With Louis Theroux

The podcast recently returned for another round of candid and “unfiltered” conversations with high-profile guests. The twigs and Theroux episode is expected to go live early next year.

Speaking on the new podcast in a BBC statement, Theroux says, “So the bad news is many of us are back in lockdown… but the good news is it’s been timed perfectly to coincide with the release of Grounded season two! I’ve been putting the past few months of not being able to travel for work to good use – having 10 more fascinating and intimate conversations with people I’ve always wanted to interview.

As before it’s a mixture of reflection on what’s going on now along with career-related chat and personal revelation. I believe we’ve got a line-up that’s every bit as fun and eclectic and surprising as the first series, with the added bonus of me now being a more seasoned podcast host – though I did speak into the wrong end of the microphone for the Frankie Boyle chat. Apologies for that.

“There’s also quite a bit of personal disclosure on my side. I’d like to think it’s a technique for getting my guests to open up. It’s also possible I’m just an over-sharer.”

Listeners can subscribe to Grounded With Louis Theroux on BBC Sounds and listen to a series two preview here. It’s still unknown as to when twigs’ episode will be broadcast but keep an eye on BBC Sounds, Radio 4 as well as the BBC iPlayer.
