The Radiohead frontman paid tribute to the pioneering artist in a social media post over the weekend.

Thom Yorke has penned a tribute post to the late MF DOOM, who died aged 49 on 31 October. The Radiohead frontman tweeted: “I am so sad to hear MF Doom’s passing. He was a massive inspiration to so many of us, changed things.. for me the way he put words was often shocking in it’s genius, using stream of consciousness in a way i’d never heard before …” Yorke also shared a link to his remix of DOOM’s track Gazzillion Ear.

DOOM’s passing was confirmed on 31 December in a statement written by his wife, Jasmine. She wrote, “The greatest husband, father, teacher, student, business partner, lover and friend I could ever ask for.” DOOM’s cause of death is yet to be announced.
