No social media, no cameras and no artist announcements.

Printworks has today (17 March) announced its opening weekend plans. The London venue will reopen its doors this autumn for a series of shows running from 17-19 September.

Across its opening weekend, Printworks will introduce its new event concept Redacted. The concept will see Printworks “going back to basics” as it “puts the focus firmly on the music for a pure celebration of club culture.” The club won’t be revealing any of the artists booked for the shows in advance. Attendees will also be asked to refrain from using social media and camera phones.

Despite keeping the line-ups under wraps, Printworks has offered a glimpse into what each of the three shows will entail. The series will kick off on Friday 17 September with a programme dubbed ‘Late Night Movement’. According to Printworks, the show will unite “purveyors of the underground, revered selectors and adventurous producers.” Saturday’s event will turn its attention ‘To The Floor’ with a line-up of “dance music heavyweights and house-laden grooves” before concluding on 19 September with ‘Low End Theories’. Here, attendees can expect drum’n’bass crews, MCs, reloads, b2bs and “non-stop energy at 140bpm+”

Speaking on Redacted, Matthew Johnston, Head of Broadwick Entertainment said: “The last 12 months have been incredibly challenging for our industry and for so many in the wider community. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back for a very overdue return to dance floors.”

“Redacted, as a concept, is something we’ve been working on for a long time and that we’re extremely proud of. We’ve spent months curating the lineup for each show with an aim of providing a distraction-free environment to allow people to really be in the moment with us, engage with the music and enjoy the experience of being back at Printworks.”

Redacted takes place from 17-19 September. Pre-sale tickets will be available from 12pm (GMT) on 18 March. General sale tickets go live at 12pm (GMT) on 19 March. Sign up for priority access via the Printworks website.
