Saffron Records release new EP from Bristol-based artist Badliana

Diary of a Loner is out today (23 April)

Bristol newcomer Badliana has today released her debut EP via Saffron Records. Entitled Diary of a Loner, the new release features singles such as Motorola, which was released earlier this month alongside an accompanying music video. The five-track EP sees Badliana – formerly known as Anna Lisa – weaving a thread between styles such as soulful R&B, drill and trap. According to Badliana, the EP is an “audio notebook” of her lockdown experience.

Launched in 2015, Saffron has grown from an imprint designed to support women and non-binary people in music into a wider platform that encompasses everything from the DJ initiative Mix Nights, Saffron for Sound music tech courses, workshops called Tech Dissect and a Members Club. For the past year, Badliana has been part of Saffron’s artist development initiative. Badliana’s Diary Of A Loner EP follows a recent release from fellow Bristolian HANAH, who has also been working with Saffron as part of its development programme.
