The elusive artist has announced the follow-up to Black Metal.
Dean Blunt is releasing Black Metal 2 digitally on 11 June via Rough Trade Records. It’ll arrive on vinyl and CD on 22 October. The LP will serve as the follow-up to his 2014 album Black Metal.
Blunt’s announcement comes after Kode9 shared an image of the album artwork to Twitter yesterday (7 June). The artwork is a black square with the number two in the bottom left corner. It was printed on a Rough Trade billboard.
In 2019, Crack Magazine ranked Black Metal as the top album of the 2010s. The list reads: “In his 2014 album he created the most unique musical artefact of our strange, lonely time.”
