The elusive artist has announced the follow-up to Black Metal.

Dean Blunt is releasing Black Metal digitally on 11 June via Rough Trade Records. It’ll arrive on vinyl and CD on 22 October. The LP will serve as the follow-up to his 2014 album Black Metal.

Blunt’s announcement comes after Kode9 shared an image of the album artwork to Twitter yesterday (7 June). The artwork is a black square with the number two in the bottom left corner. It was printed on a Rough Trade billboard.

In 2019, Crack Magazine ranked Black Metal as the top album of the 2010s. The list reads: “In his 2014 album he created the most unique musical artefact of our strange, lonely time.”
